It seems that every journey, no matter how long or short comes to an end eventually, for us this day is today. After 6 years of competing on iRacing, the Pure Racing Team will close its doors.
We look back at many memorable moments, be it our beginnings in the Masters of Endurance league as well as VR GTS and SRD DSTM, our eventual step into the NEO Endurance Series, our first time qualifying for an iRacing World Championship with the Blancpain GT Series, fielding at least 3 cars in every season of its running. To then us starting to make an impact in the iRacing Special Events winning the 24h of Daytona a total of 3 times across 2 classes, winning the 24h of Nürburgring a total of 3 times, winning the 12h of Bathurst twice, winning the 24h of Le Mans once in 2 classes and of course winning the 24h of Spa twice, along with locking out the podium in this year’s edition with our collab with Team Redline and Virtualdrivers by TX3. To then crowning ourselves the champions of the VRS iRacing GT Series in 2018. While winning both competitions at the ADAC SimRacing Expo in 2018 topped off a perfect year for us.
Of course during our 6-year period a lot of individual success has been achieved as well. Maximilian Benecke being part of the inaugural season of F1 Esports as well as being the first road driver to ever reach over 10.000 iRating. Also Jonas Wallmeier achieving the Grand Slam, winning every special event in a single year. And both Maximilian Benecke and Maximilian Wenig being part of the Porsche SimRacing Summit that took place at the end of last year in Leipzig.
With another highlight being the opening of the Pure Driving School which has been providing people with setups, data and videos for over a year now. Obviously, Pure Driving School will remain and continue its work with the same people behind it.
To finish it all off we want to thank our sponsors, Ascher-Racing, spusu and Autohaus Wallmeier GmbH & Co.KG, who have been supporting us for a long time! And of course all of our drivers that have been part of this amazing journey and wish them all the best on their new pastures!
