The grand final of the first Blancpain GT Series @Nürburgring is over!

It again was a pleasure for us to drive 6 amazing races against the best teams and drivers in the world. We are really looking forward to attack the leading teams of the championship in the next year.

But let´s begin with a small review of the last race where our 3 teams again tried to show their best pace. Unfortunately our #12 car was only driven by Florian W. because his teammates had no time left for starting in the last round of the championship.

In qualifier all three Pure Racing Teams did a perfect job with running on P2, P3 and P7. Maximilian B. was able to place his BMW Z4 GT3 in the front row, just 3 hundredths of a second behind the CORE Motorsports Audi, which clearly was the fastest around the Nürburgring. Just 1 tenth behind was our #71 Mclaren driven by Patrick P. who also had a quite perfect lap out there. Finally Florian W. placed his #12 Audi on P7, being not too far off the leading group.

When lights went green, Max felt that the CORE Motorsports car stuggled a bit in the first two corners so he took his opportunity to catch the Audi in turn 5 around the outside. From there on he led the field over more than 50 laps until Marc E. took over the seat of the #73 machine. Due to a high tire wear the car was hard to drive after half a stint, so we are really happy with our 5th place at the end of the race!

For our #71 Mclaren the only aim for the race was to get to the finish line for getting the price money of $2000 for winning the manufacturer championship. After keeping the 3rd position for most of the first stint, Patrick P. had to give up his position before entering the pits. Finally Jonas W. took over the car for the last two hours of racing. We decided to not change the tires in the last stint to catch up the ineX Mercedes in 2nd position. Unfortunately the tires were off when about 20 minutes were left on the clock. Since the Coanda Simsport BMW had new tires, we had to give up the 3rd position. The 4th place still is a great result again for our Mclaren team!

Congratulations to the podium finishers of the overall championship with having VRS Coanda Simsport in front, CORE Motorsports in 2nd and ineX Racing Red in 3rd position!
